Fusion Power? Not so fast.
Essay discussing the over optimistic reports about fusion energy by Daniel Jassby who was a principal research physicist at the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab until 1999. "In the last few years, hundreds of journalists and editorialists have apparently fallen victim to the salesmanship of fusion energy promoters. !e commentary in the October 2023 issue of Nuclear News (p. 25) is one of the latest to succumb to the line that essentially all the scientific issues of fusion power have been settled, and only residual engineering problems need to be resolved."
